Philip Huang works in the Manhattan office as a Senior Associate alongside Broker Michael DeCheser, exclusively covering the Lower East Side and Chinatown. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Huang earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. While a student he studied abroad twice in two full-time advanced Mandarin Chinese programs, one at Tongji University in Shanghai, China; the other at Beijing Language and Culture University. From mid-2005 to the end of 2006, he worked abroad at the law firm Herbert Smith, LLP in Shanghai. He began an English training program for the non-English speakers, helping to facilitate communication within the office.
During his career at Massey Knakal, Mr. Huang has evaluated and marketed every type of commercial property including development sites, multi-family apartment buildings, commercial condominiums, and single family townhouses around the Lower East Side and Chinatown. Working closely with real estate owners and investors, he has helped market over $250,000,000 worth of real estate and has closed transactions with an aggregate value totaling more than $75,000,000. In addition to this, Mr. Huang has appeared in real estate publications such as Real Estate Weekly, Mann Report, Curbed.com, and The Real Deal.
Mr. Huang was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Outside of the office he enjoys basketball, tennis, football and running. A native of Long Island, he currently lives in the Lower East Side and can be reached in the Manhattan office at 212.660.7754.
