David Chkheidze

Director of Retail Leasing & Development


David Chkheidze joined Massey Knakal Retail Leasing Services as Director of Retail Leasing in 2011. In 2014, he transitioned to Director of Retail Leasing & Development. David works closely with Todd Korren, Executive Managing Director, and Michael Hefferon, Assistant Manager – Sales & Retail Leasing, to help develop and support the entire retail leasing team.

In addition to his responsibilities as Director of Retail Leasing for the Upper West Side and Morningside Heights, David works closely with recently checked out agents to help them understand the intricacies involved with learning one’s territory, how to identify market opportunities and to procure new listings. David will also serve as an additional resource to help the agents hone their day to day efforts pertaining to marketing, presentations and lease negotiations.

In 2011, David received Massey Knakal’s First Annual Rookie of the Year award. In 2012 David received Massey Knakal’s Annual Charitable Foundation Award for Making a Difference. In 2013, David received Massey Knakal’s Annual Leasing Agent Award –Agent of the Year.

David received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Georgian State University in Tbilisi, Georgia. Following Georgian State, David completed a two-year management program at Cornell University.

David comes to Massey Knakal with over eight years of real estate experience. Previously, at Manhattan Spaces, David was a commercial leasing agent focusing on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Upper East Side and East Village. Prior to this role, he was a rental broker at Citi-Habitats and In Town Realty LLC.

Before joining Citi-Habitats, David moved back to Georgia where he managed a 10-story, 24-unit construction project from the ground up.

Additionally, David has represented landlords, owners and tenants, handled investment sales, and worked with dozens of commercial banks.
