Inwood is a neighborhood located in Manhattan overlooking the Harlem and Hudson Rivers and bordering Washington Heights.
Home to the only natural forest left in Manhattan, Inwood feels a world apart from the rest of the island borough's neighborhoods. Primarily a residential neighborhood, Inwood is noted for its impressive Art Deco apartment buildings and its array of pre-war apartment and co-op buildings, which give it a more suburban feel than other Manhattan neighborhoods.
