Highbridge is a neighborhood located in the Bronx (part of Bronx Community Board 4) overlooking the Harlem River and bordering Concourse and Melrose.
An area ripe for development, Highbridge is a predominantly residential neighborhood with five and six-story residential buildings, older multi-unit homes, vacant lots and newer attached multi-unit townhouses and apartment buildings. The hilly neighborhood also features a number of "stair streets," which connect parts of the neighborhood otherwise separated by differing elevations, giving the neighborhood an old-world ambience.
