The Flatiron District is a neighborhood located in Manhattan bordering Union Square, the West Village, Chelsea, Midtown and Gramercy Park.
Named for the famous Flatiron Building that intersects 23rd Street, Broadway and Fifth Avenue, the Flatiron District is a small commercial neighborhood that serves primarily as shopping destination for New York's many residents. Home to a number of retail stores, photography studios, publishing companies, ad agencies and web companies, the neighborhood has recently experienced an influx of residential interest, with luxury condos and a vibrant club scene both rising in recent years.
