Briarwood is a neighborhood located in Queens (part of Queens Community Board 8) bordering Kew Gardens and Jamaica.
Known by residents as the "hidden gem" of Queens, Briarwood is primarily a residential neighborhood, with small businesses such as restaurants, markets, and delis comprising most of its retail and economic activity. Parsons Boulevard and Queens Boulevard are the main commercial arteries. Housing is a mix of single- and multi-family houses and apartment buildings. Located in the center of the borough, Briarwood is easily accessible by highway, subway (F and E trains), bus or Long Island Rail Road.
